Pumalin and Beautiful Schizophrenic were short-lived projects from Los Angeles, cut short by the untimely passing of Katrina Vasquez, the voice behind the music. Their music could be called dreampop, reminiscent of 4AD bands like the Cocteau Twins and His Name is Alive.
Because nothing was ever released commercially, Katrina's music is in danger of being forgotten. Doing my part to help prevent this, I've made the recordings I have available here for download. I've fallen out of touch with Phil, the other half of Pumalin, but I hope he doesn't mind my doing this. Phil: If you come across this site, get in touch.
