First launched in 1996, Longshadows is an unofficial fan site devoted to the music of Current 93, offering news of the band’s activities and reviews of the majority of their releases.
The reviews contained herein represent the opinions and research of the author, and though every effort has been made to preserve accuracy, errors are naturally inevitable. If you’re aware of inaccurate information on this site, don’t hesitate to contact us!
While a significant majority of the released work of Current 93 is reviewed here, this site should not be construed as a complete discography. Rather, these are simply the releases which the author has access to. Unless otherwise noted, all reviews correspond to the CD version of the album.
Satya Palani
Satya Palani’s Current 93 site, formerly at longshadows.com, has long been one of the best Current 93 resources on the web. Over the years, I’ve frequently made use of his reviews when filling out my own C93 collection, as did a lot of others, I’m sure. Imagine my shock when I tried to load his site one day only to find that the domain longshadows.com was now owned by a Seattle winery. In an effort to preserve the content of this site, I’ve made use of the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine to save copies of the pages and mirror them here. I have made some changes to the code to bring it up to current web standards but the content itself is completely unchanged, with the exception of the news page, which was out of date and redundant now that Tibet is posting news on the Durtro web site. This mirror originally began unofficially in July 2004. After nearly two years, Satya finally stumbled across it and gave it his blessing. As of January 2006, this is now the official home of these reviews.
