Current 93: ‘The Inmost Light’ 2LP vinyl now available

We have now received our copies of the beautiful 2LP of ‘The Inmost Light’. The double album comes in a colour gatefold sleeve with an 8 page colour booklet with the lyrics, photographs and artwork from the recent 3CD version.

David Tibet is happy to sign copies to people with a personal name dedication, but he will NOT sign them with his signature only. This is because he hopes to prevent them being sold on eBay as ‘signed copies’. If you would like a copy/copies signing to you or a friend, send an email with the names you wish David to sign them to. Your email MUST have your order number in the subject–this order number is automatically emailed to you once you have placed an order.  The offer by David to sign this LP is FOR THIS RELEASE ONLY and does not apply to other items available in the shop.

Please note that as this album is quite heavy, postage is as follows. As the postage is added automatically when you order, according to the cost of the items you purchase, and will not be sufficient to cover the postage, the postage will be amended by us when we process your order.

UK: £4.00

Europe: £6.50

Rest of world: £10.75

The record costs £16 plus postage and packing and VAT where applicable. This is NOT available from Jnana Records.

Nurse With Wound: ‘Homotopy to Marie’ CD now available

We are pleased to announce the reissue of Homotopy to Marie, one of the classic early NWW albums. It is has been remastered and released in a full colour 6 panel digipak with newly designed artwork. While there are no extra tracks, the disc index markers have been corrected from the original World Serpent release to reflect the actual track lengths.

Available from our shop now. £11 plus postage and packing and VAT where applicable.

David Tibet’s ‘Under the Rain and Teeth of Gods’: another update

I have made a final decision that this book will also contain the lyrics from the forthcoming album.

Previously this album’s initials were ‘A.D.M.’. They are now perhaps ‘H.M.’

I expect the album to be released on March 5, 2008. The book will definitely be published on this date.

I once more apologise to everyone for a delay that has seen me live in five different houses. As ever, if anyone wants a refund for the book, please let us know and we will refund you immediately.

You may have noticed that this book is no longer in the shop to order. This is because we do not want to take any more orders before it is published.

Those who have ordered it already, and have not received a refund, will still receive the free C93 CD mentioned at the time that accompanies only pre-orders for the book. The nature of the material on this free CD may change from that originally announced when ‘H.M.’ comes out.

Current 93 ‘Faust’ book/CD: another update

FAUST has now been sent to the printers, at last. This means we will get it back in about 6 weeks. Sorry for this delay too.

We will be publishing 222 copies of this book, of which 100 have been sold on pre-order. Full details are as follows:

A beautiful hardback edition of this horrifying short story, of black magic, Lucifer and redemption, by Count Stenbock, published for the first time in book form. Bound in black cloth with metallic pictorial and text blocking on front and back boards, full colour printed endpapers, book ribbon, head- and tail-bands, previously unseen frontispiece photograph of Count Stenbock, all page edges gilt, and the 48 page text printed in black and red throughout. Limited to 200 copies.

Accompanied by the CD album ‘FAUST’ by Current 93 in a redesigned sleeve in jewel case which also carries the full text of the story. THIS IS STILL AVAILABLE AT A PRE-PUBLICATION PRICE OF £35 plus postage and packing. When the book is published and in stock the price will rise to £40, assuming there are any copies left. Please note: There is no VAT on books.

Current 93 in emblematic cemetary man synchronicity

A man called Lee, whose MySpace name is Longboardster, wrote to me as follows. I don’t know the film he mentions–indeed I don’t think I have ever seen any C93 music synchronised with film. But I thought it might be interesting for those receiving this update.

I wished to tell you of some synchronicities I have discovered involving the C93 releases “Emblems” and the Italian horror film “Cemetery Man” (known in Europe as “Dellamorte Dellamore”); “Lucifer Over London” and “Fantasia”; and finally “Earth Covers Earth” and “2001: A Space Odyssey”. Much like “Dark Side of the Rainbow” combined Pink Floyd and the “Wizard of Oz”, with the proper set-up these two, watched together, produce some exceptionally startling results. There is a very startling effect around the one-hour mark. Details for the set-up and what to expect from the experience can be found at http://comingdownfast.googlepages.com/home

Favourite records at the moment

Julia Kent: ‘Delay’ (Shayo Records). This is an astonishingly beautiful album from my heroine Julia Kent, who has played, or plays, in Antony and the Johnsons, Larsen, Backworld and C93 amongst many others. Her MySpace is www.myspace.com/julia_kent and Shayo records is www.myspace.com/shayorecords

Death Vessel: ‘Stay Close’ (North East Indie and ATP). A fantastic album by Joel Thibodeau’s remarkable group Death Vessel. Really remarkable, in fact. His website is www.deathvessel.com and you can hear his work at his MySpace www.myspace.com/deathvessel

Chrome Hoof: ‘Pre-Emptive False Rapture’ (Southern). Heavy-metal-disco-funk-prog-rock classic. www.myspace.com/chromehoof

George Harrison: ‘Living In The Material World’ & ‘All Things Must Pass’. These are truly wonderful. I was never a huge Beatles fan, though I think I might start liking Wings now. www.georgeharrison.com

Rickie Lee Jones: ‘Ghostyhead’ & ‘The Evening of my Best Day’. Gorgeous and haunting. www.rickieleejones.com

And an honourary and ecstatic remention

I wanted to say again how much I love these two records, which I have mentioned previously. I listen to them all the time:

THE NEW CREATION: ‘A UNIQUE DISASTER’ (Aero Music). A stunning apocalyptic concept album. You can get this and their amazing first album from 1970, “Troubled”, from Companion Records: http://companionrecords.com/pages/catalog.html

SILMARIL: ‘THE VOYAGE OF ICARUS’ (Locust). Despairing and beautiful. www.locustmusic.com & www.myspace.com/locustmusic

Best wishes to all ever
