Goblin, our beloved cat, enters union with God
Goblin went to God on Monday 9 at 19.02. Please keep him in your prayers. I know many of you love cats as deeply as I do, and you also know the pain of losing them. Sorrow sorrow sorrow.
Aleph on Docetic Mountain book
(Picture shown is a mockup and is subject to change)
December sees the publication by Coptic Cat of ‘ALEPH ON DOCETIC MOUNTAIN’, David Tibet's text for ALEPH AT HALLUCINATORY MOUNTAIN, in a high quality, hardback book bound in Arebelave Buckram with blocking to front and spine and with full colour printed endpapers and a book ribbon. This beautiful 64 page hardback book, dedicated to our Cat Goblin, is limited to 333 copies and also comes with a CD featuring the original, previously unreleased, version of the 20 minute piece ‘ADAM AT DOCETIC MOUNTAIN’, with voice by David Tibet, electronics by Andrew Liles and drums/percussion by Alex Neilson, the final version of which appeared on side 4 of the 2LP vinyl version of ‘Aleph at Hallucinatory Mountain’. The remaining tracks on the CD, which lasts approximately 60 minutes, are recordings of the first time C93 played material from ALEPH AT HALLUCINATORY MOUNTAIN live, at the 2 nights’ soundcheck for their shows in Santiago, Spain in May 2009. These tracks will not be released in CD form elsewhere.
The book costs £32 plus postage and packing and is now available for pre-order.

Bill Fay: ‘Still Some Light’ 2CD set finally released on Coptic Cat… at last!
We are very happy to announce, at last, the December release on Coptic Cat of Bill Fay's ‘Still Some Light’.
‘Still Some Light’ consists of 2 CDs on which are 43 songs with a total playing time of 2 hours, 3 minutes. It comes in a 6 panel full colour digifile with a 24 page booklet of extensive notes and lyrics to all the tracks, reproducing the original handwritten text by Bill Fay. The digifile also has 5 archival photos of Bill and family, and a cover painted by Bill's brother John.
The first CD, ‘PIANO, GUITAR, BASS & DRUMS 1970–71’, consists of studio recordings sourced from archival 7 ½" tapes and cassette from 1970 and 1971, with Ray Russell on guitar, Alan Rushton on drums and Paul Runswick on bass. The 1970 tracks are prior to the recording of ‘Time of the Last Persecution’, and contain alternative versions of songs on that album, two tracks from Bill's first album ‘Bill Fay’ as well as previously unreleased songs. There are also previously unreleased songs from 1971. The second CD, ‘STILL SOME LIGHT’, is a home-recorded studio album from 2009.
All the artist's profits from the release will go to Médecins sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), and details of the payments made when the CD has gone into profit will be posted on www.durtro.com, www.jnanarecords.com and our associated websites.
Please note that this album is available from both jnanarecords.com and durtro.com. Purchasers living in North America will probably find the price cheaper and the delivery speedier if they order it from jnanarecords.com.
The album costs US$ 18.99 plus postage and packing from Jnana and £12 plus postage and packing from Durtro. It is now available for pre-order.

Nick Blinko, Henry Boxer and myself were so delighted by the Coptic Cat edition of ‘The Haunted Head’ that we have published a micro-edition of it. All page edges are gilt, and the book has black head- and tail-bands and a black marker.

David Tibet meets the lovely Sasha Grey and her lovely fiance Ian Cinnamon for lunch. The world ceases… and turns
After several years of phone calls, emails, films, sounds, songs and dreams, I was very excited to meet Sasha and Ian finally when they came to London this week in connection with promotion for the Stephem Soderbergh film, ‘The Girlfriend Experience’, in which Sasha stars—please see this film! Sasha and Ian are full of love, grace, drive, charisma, beauty and flowering in apocalypse. I am honoured to be their friend. I am also working with them on their musical project Atelecine: www.myspace.com/atelecine
David Tibet art exhibition in Rome, ‘Docetica’ to close on 28 November 2009 and ‘Docetica’ T-shirt available
David's art exhibition at Motel Salieri will close on 28 November. To see it, go to www.motelsalieri.org/guestat/
They have also made a limited run of a black T-shirt with the word DOCETICA printed on the front in black, and inside the back of the shirt the date of the exhibition and the following quotation by David regarding his work:
"I paint apocalypse cartoons and call prayers to God. I use coloured pastel and white ink on black paper. I have depicted how I see and love and fear the world around me and the world to come for me. I have pictured the back of the stars tremble and fall. I have written all the night and its names. I have turned cats into comets. I have stood at the Hallucinatory Mountain, full of trouble and colours, and seen the Kingdom of Heaven roaring like a lamb." God is Love, David Tibet, Hastings, September 17, 2009.
The T-shirt costs €66 and is available here.
Musician and artist Vera Brozzoni interviews David Tibet and her project MySpace address and London show details below also
The talented and lovely musician/artist Vera Brozzoni kindly took time to come to see David in Hastings to interview him. The interview, in Italian, can be seen here.
Far more interesting than what David has to say is Vera's own work, which can be heard here: www.myspace.com/subdominantband.
She will also play with the band Ethnamorte: www.myspace.com/ethnamorte in London at The Grosvenor, 17 Sidney Road, SW9 0TP near Stockwell tube station. The show starts at 9pm.
Vinyl-on-Demand to issue two box sets of LP records of C93 material for David’s 50th birthday in March 2010
Current 93 will release two vinyl only box sets on the German label VOD Records: VOD-records.com or Vinyl-on-Demand.com for David's 50th birthday in March 2010.
Box Volume 1 (3 LPs with booklet, T-shirt and bonus 7") will contain: obscurities, rarities, demos and other rare material selected by José Pacheco and Nidge Ince from David's extensive personal C93 archive.
Box Volume 2 will contain ‘Christ and the Pale Queens’ plus ‘Red Face of God’ as a double LP, ‘As the World Disappears’ for the first time ever on vinyl, and finally an official release of the legendary ‘Emblems’ LP, which has until now only existed as a test pressing. ‘Emblems’ was originally going to be a single LP of material released on the now-deleted 2CD ‘Emblems’, but never made it past a very limited run of white vinyl test pressings, which are ferociously rare and expensive. The tracks on ‘Emblems’ are:
Side 1:
- Suzanne: She and I in Darkness We Lay and Lie
- Maldoror is Ded Ded Ded Ded
- Silence as Christine
Side 2:
- Hooves
- Our Lady of Horsies
- The Signs and the Sighs of Emptiness
- Hooves
- The Sadness of Things
- In Sadness Sang
Both box sets will be limited to 600 copies each.
The three records from Box Volume 2 will also be offered as standalone releases in an edition of 330 copies so to have a total of 930 copies of each of them.
It is advisable, if you want to obtain either of the VoD box sets, to register for the VOD newsletter so as to be automatically informed about four weeks ahead of release.
Please note that only 300 boxes of each volume, as well as the 330 standalone LPs, will be available for regular sale and distribution because VOD has 300 members/subscribers who receive the box set within their yearly subscription.
Neither of these sets, nor the individual LPs, will be available from Durtro or Jnana records.
Please vote for C93’s film maker Davide Pepe’s three films on Babelgum!

I mourn the passing of Blue Cheer’s Dickie Peterson
One of my heroes, Dickie Peterson of Blue Cheer, went to God on October 12 in Germany. I loved and I love this group so much. I had been in touch with them late last year and earlier this year concerning their appearing as C93's special guest for the NYC shows in April 2010. Walter from Roadburn had kindly arranged for my Blue Cheer sleeves to be signed by him and the rest of the group: thank you Walter!
Alas, the group has now dissolved. But his, and their, beauty and power live on. I thank them for all the joy and inspiration they have given me and so many others.
Ramesis III play free show in London
One of my my newly-found musical loves is the extraordinary and beautiful and hypnagogic Rameses II:I www.ramesesiii.com www.myspace.com/ramesesiii. I am very excited to see them at their mid-day—and free entry!—show in London.
Union Chapel, Islington, Saturday 28 November
Daylight Music: P Jørgensen, Rameses III + Seasons (pre-din)
FREE ENTRY midday–2pm
Thank you to all of you for your support. I love right now: the works of Thomas Ligotti, Rickie Lee Jones' new album "Balm in Gilead" (the title of which I helped her with), Isaac Hayes; and the new C93 album, whose shell is this, ‘BS:SO’, in face and form. I am waiting excitedly to see Rameses III in London, for Rickie Lee Jones to come down to stay with me in Hastings, and for the Lions in the Cars and the Crimes in the Jars and the Signs in the Stars.
Amen and Anok Pe David Tibet+++
